We need cozy outerwear that will take us through the cold winter months. I currently have only two faux fur vests in my closet and I´m looking for an additional. But before I shop for another one, I´m looking for some cute inspirations on how to style a faux fur vest.
Banana Republic, my-wardrobe, Forever21
Pulled together with a statement belt. Sometime in 2011, I saw in one runway show a fur vest being cinched in the waist with a buckled belt. It´s pretty much the same style idea being revived for this season, actually; but Banana Republic offers a belt alternative, this gorgeous tuxedo bow belt. I go for the gold, it´s bold.
Spice up an all black look. I love black as much as I love bright colors. But sometimes you want to spice up an all black ensemble if just a bit. But why not add a dramatic fur vest for a change?
On top a printed dress. We love print dresses in summer and spring, but how do we transition our fave frocks for winter? By adding a faux fur vest. This look definitely works for places which winter isn´t as freezing as here on our side of Europe. Also, feel free to layer with warm tights.
Forever21, Shopbop, Free People
The city chic. Remember me gushing about us going to visit Maine, Germany, this Christmas December? This invitation from my hubby´s friend prompted me to look for hot, holiday city chic looks. This all black outfit from Forever21 pulled together with a hooded faux fur vest also speaks city chic. This got me thinking, why black is trending for this season´s holidays?
Balance the length. Most girls love long skirts because they let you get away for a day without shaving your legs. But since I married my husband, I had a hard time pulling off a long skirt without him teasing me. He says I look like a Baptist girl. Not that there´s something wrong with it, but I don´t wanna look too religious. The solution? I bought an edgy fur vest with contrast hems which hits just around my first hip to wear as a topper. It´s perfect to balance the length of the skirt while adding a touch of hippie-ness.
The Boho girl. Quickly add an extra warmth to your boho-inspired get up. Looks great with a simple tee and a printed, wide-leg pant.
How are you wearing faux fur vest this season?
