It´s not just that it´s currently a trend; but whenever you feel like embracing chlorophyll and wearing the color of leaves, you know that every emerald-green pieces that you have will forever be fabulous.
It´s about going back to nature, deep and refreshing color which looks better when bigger. These four looks are inspired by Michael Kors emerald-green combos from Spring 2013 runway. Don´t shy away from head to toe emerald-green, it doesn´t scream “look at me!” on a negative manner, in fact the color speaks of self-reliance and self-respect.
Emerald green coat and skirt
You see the cat-walk version – a long, single-breasted emerald-green coat worn over a patent knee-length skirt polished with pointed-toe pumps, all in the same color. Yet you can easily interpret this look to suit your lifestyle. Choose a green coat that you fancy, double-breasted if you like it that way, and go for a non-patent pencil skirt in standard length. You can also opt for peep-toe pumps instead of pointed-toe.
Emerald jacket and shorts
It´s another head-to-toe emerald-green combo – green top, green shorts, and green shoes. To make a simple top look smart, add an emerald-green jacket. Stick with refine pieces to keep the look stylish and elegant. Let your legs look toned and long with pointed toe pumps or DÓrsay stilettos with middle and ankle straps.
Emerald green and blue
An emerald top looks divine with white and blue blend trousers. But if you can´t afford a real Michael Kors nor can you find an exact replica, then simply recreate it. Team an emerald top with blue pleated slim leg trousers and finish off with a cute pair of slingback emerald-green sandals.
Emerald green dress
This colorblock dress of emerald green and dusk blue from the runway is truly fabulous, white shoes and a white clutch are subtle polishing. And yet again, if you´re arent´t lucky to get yourself a similar two-toned dress, opt for a gorgeous solid emerald-green dress instead. Accessorized with silver pointed-toe pumps and a stunning, spiral motif embellished clutch, you´ll look as good as that of the runway.
