I seriously wasn´t thinking about wearing anything with an owl on it because I´m so not a fan of this creature, but that thought totally turned around after Kate Bosworth famously wore a Burberry owl sweater to Burberry´s London Fashion Week last February. I was like, I think that´s cute.
The way Kate wore her owl sweater was very similar to the looks from the stage, two models wore owl pullover teamed with a long pencil skirt, bow belt and ankle platforms. Kate opted for a dark gray below the knee skirt to complement her light gray owl sweater. I also find the ruffle peplum style of her skirt subtly sexy.
Other than a black clutch which matches her black bow belt, Kate´s outfit is about minimalism, she had no other accessories. This actually works because the sweater´s street casual appeal is still much there while the skirt and shoes threw glamour to the look.
By the way, did you notice how that model on the left wears her outfit so well? She´s so gorgeous and she makes me covet that t-shirt with an owl immensely.
But instead of chasing for the real Burberry owl sweater, I looked for more affordable alternatives. And I found these two owl sweaters perfect!
What do you think of owl sweater? Is it something you´d like to add to your sweater collections for cold days?
