Question: Tiger Print Shoes
Hi! I have a pair of tiger print shoes and I want to wear them to work. Do you think you can wear tiger print shoes with office clothes? How? ~ Sandy
Hi Sandy, thank you for your question. Tiger prints are mostly less fierce than leopard prints.
Because they´re not as bold and as daring as leopard prints, my answer is yes, I believe you can wear tiger print shoes with your office clothes.
I normally advise creative fashionistas to let their animal print shoes shine in an outfit.
However, if you´re to wear them to work, I suggest complementing the print with items that equally grab attention such as a powerful tailored suit, or toning the print down with neutral colors.
Identify the color palette that dominates the print. In this Jimmy Choo Tiger Print Pony Shoe, it´s the background which is beige. In some shoes, it´s the dark rosettes or the dark diagonals.
To wear this Jimmy Choo tiger print shoe to work, I would pair it with a beige blouse and black pencil skirt. I´ll carry a black working bag.
Because I don´t wear jewelries, I would accessorize this outfit with a small black scarf done in a french knot. In your case, you can use a long black beaded necklace or any necklace that´s in black, beige or silver, which goes well with your blouse. Or you can drop the necklace altogether.
Of course, you can wear over your blouse a blazer if you feel like elevating your outfit into a more powerful look. In this set above, I felt like a nude color lipstick is best, although that really depends on your skin tone.
Alternatively, you can wear your tiger pumps with any colored or monochrome dresses. Just avoid print clashing since you don´t want to come off trendy at work.
You can also team up the tiger print shoes with ankle pants. As long you you won´t clash the print with a printed or patterned blouse, you can wear them with anything.
I hope this helps. 🙂
I completely agree!! Big yes to animal shoes to work as long as they complement your outfit or are the shining feature! 🙂
That´s right, Jacquii. Animal print can definitely be worn to work, as long as you know how to do it right. 🙂
