Fashion is not about being thin, it’s about celebrating your figure by being comfortable with it. Fashion is all about looking your best even if you’re wearing a plus size jeans or a plus size dress. Confidence, comfort and creativity, regardless of your size, is what makes sexy.
I spent my morning today dipping in and scanning through Anna Scholz – designer plus size clothing website, a designer brand for plus size women, and I´m loving all the fun, girly and trendy dresses that I saw. Anna Scholz, the designer behind the brand, wanted to celebrate the gift of curvaceous figure by making dressing a fun experience for all plus size women.
Now that summer is officially here, I´m happy to feature all the top (beautiful) summer dresses for curvy women.
Animal Print Dresses for Plus Size Women
An animal print dress isn´t just any dress, it takes a lot of confidence to wear it but once you pull enough courage to actually do it, it´s a very transformative experience. To the left is Double Silk Button Sash 50s Dress in black and purple snake print, is a fresh and modern take on belted 50s dress styles.
To the right is the Jersey Sleeveless Gathered Dress in leopard print and is Anna´s most popular shape. All the girls are just loving its ruching details that do wonders for your figure all in stretchy, ultra-soft jersey.
Maxi Dresses for Plus Size Women
Maxi dresses are very much a number 1 in our list for summer must-have dresses and here are two prints we´re really digging this season – gorgeous spots and tribal print.
I´m impressed with the Jersey Shirred Maxi Dress (Spots) because of its flirtly retro whimsy appeal. Looks great with a pair of statement gladiators. Oh, and did I mention I´m a fan of empire waists?
Batik style is another hot trend this season, boho or tribal print, and Anna´s version is something worth a steal – Jersey Shirred Maxi Dress (batik-style). It has elastic shirring at the top which keeps this strapless number secure across the bust and it comes in splendid batik print, in rich turquoise, red, taupe and cream.
Girly Pink and Floral Summer Dresses
There are many reasons to go girly and cute in summer and one is for pure feminism. A pink (Feeling Tickled Pink? Wear Pink This Summer) translates good feelings and peace and keeps you´re entire look sleek and organize.
Hug your curves through this sultry floral print dress that is not only fabulous but is also of-the season. Weather to a date or to a party where you need to impress, this floral number is perfect for you complete with a pair of peep-toe nude pumps.
For Work, Elegant Summer Dresses
Anna Scholz not only did brought back retro style in a modern version through her LBD but she also gave new definition to colorblocking trend. All in the name of elegance.
Be it to work, to a business meeting or to a girls´date, you have the option to rock a two-toned (in peach and black) cowl neck dress or a 60s inspired retro style little black dress. Which gorgeous dress are you?
