Do you have those days when you face your full-packed closet and you´d think, you don´t have anything to wear? I have those days and they seem to be quite often in fall. It´s probably because I find it a little challenging to transition many of the items in my wardrobe. It´s on these days when I go back to basic.
Basic fall staples are those tried and true pieces that will make you look well-dressed anytime during the course of the season. It´s astounding to realize that you actually need only six to seven items to have a complete fall wardrobe.
A Cozy Jacket
Adventurer Chambray Jacket
You need a jacket that´s warm enough to keep you cozy. This season´s jacket trends include biker jackets, chic utility vests, camouflage parkas, utility jackets, acid washed denim jackets, and chambrays.
A Dramatic Sweater
Contrast Geo Sweater Tunic
A fall wardrobe should be mostly about sweaters. It´s in this season when sweaters take center stage, so make sure to pack up on dramatic, graphic print sweaters. Other styles that you can invest on are boho cardigans, metallic woven sweaters, camo and striped print sweaters, and of course, the chunky knits!
A Cute, Reliable Dress
Surreal Drop Waist Dress
You need a dress that can be easily dressed up and down. Look for swift dresses with free cut or a dropwaist dress with multi-colored print, you can quickly change their look by adding a belt. Try also a baroque smock or a boho print dress for some cute interests. You can pair them with ankle boots and a jacket when the temperature is tolerable, or you can layer them with tights, riding boots, and long toppers in winter.
A Go-To Trousers
Stripped Woven Joggers
Whether it´s denim or woven joggers, distressed overalls, or skinny jeans, a go-to pair of trousers are the ones that effortlessly complete an outfit.
An Accessory
Rustic Bandana Print Scarf
Scarves – bandana print scarves, infinity scarves, open knit (mono or printed) scarves top the accessory section. They significantly keep you from flu by covering your neck and they also add interesting elements to a look. Next in line are the bonnets, the crossbody bags, and the gloves.
A Good Shoe
Whatever Stud Loafers
While fall and winter keep us excited with our ankle and tall boots, don´t forget that loafers, dórsay flats, and ballet flats continue to shine bright during this season. Take a good pair of smoking slippers that could go well with dark tights, the result is simply divine.
