I once made a wrong decision to wear ultra-fitting (not very stretchable) cropped pants with leather high heels to a five-hour-flight and since then, I swore to never repeat it. Not only are too tights and not stretchable pants too tiring for the legs, the closed leather high heels were also unforgiving to the feet. It didn´t help that the flight was at night and the body expectedly wanted to sleep. The almost unbearable discomfort ruined the supposedly great experience. Since then I´ve been in the look out for travel outfits that are both chic and comfortable.
Travel in Style
Coat, Sweater, Scarf, Jeans, Sunglasses, Wedge Sneaker
Anne Hathaway shows how to travel in style – a pair of blue denim, a nude coat over a sweater, red long scarf, and wedge sneakers. Wedge sneakers are definitely comfortable and since you wear them with socks, you can quickly remove your feet from it during flight and not feel cold. Wedge sneakers are also a hot trend so it makes the entire outfit very of-the-moment and youthful.
Travel Chic and Comfy
Cardigan, Jegging, Sunglasses, Bag, Scarf, Riding boot
Diana Agron did layering of comfortable but chic pieces. A fly-away wrap cardigan worn over a tee layered over with thick print scarf, jeggings, and riding boots. Layering of all the soft, non-ironed pieces at the top makes the look effortless while keeping her comfy the entire flight. Jeggings or tights are great for a really long travel because they stretch. Notice her boots, they´re actually wide around the calf so the legs can move comfortably and it´s easy to slip in and out. Avoid fitted long boots, they´re uncomfortable for long international flights.

Put Together Travel Look
Blazer, Shirt, Sunglasses, Bag, Belt, Jeans, Shoe
Lauren Conrad is known for put-together looks and even her airport outfit is a polished, casual-smart. Jeans are great for travel especially if it´s cold. Team them up with a shirt and wool blazer for enough warmth. Lauren finished off the look with nude flats, which are perfect, although you can instead opt for a more trendy pair, the smoking slippers. Sprinkle some interesting details to the look such as a leopard slim belt or a leopard leather satchel.
Travel Casually Yet Edgy
Sweater, Shorts, Necklace, Sunglasses, Bag, Boot
Ashley Greene created a very comfortable yet edgy outfit for the airport. A nude, oversized knitted sweater worn with soft floral printed shorts and toughened up with edgy laced-up black boots. To mimic the look, you can either play up with neutrals or you can go for a more bright look such as this fashion board above. A bright two-toned sweater to team up with a complementary shorts, and of course, the boots.
Beating a long international flight doesn´t have have to be tough. Create an outfit that´s both comfy and chic so your flight will be a wonderful experience instead of a stressful, tiring task.
Which of these travel outfits would you love to wear for your next flight?
These are really cute travel outfits. I would wear each and every one of them. Especially the second one because it looks so cozy and I always opt for comfort over style when I’m traveling. I hate being uncomfortable on a plane just because I want to look cute. You prove you can do both!
