In between planning for lessons and producing teaching materials, teachers are faced with another challenge, how to dress stylishly for the classroom. As she stands in front of the class teaching and demonstrating, she is assessed for a trillion times in different angles. As a former teacher for eight years, I know that a teacher´s dress contributes to the respect that she is able to demand. But she has to stand, run and strut back and forth for the entire day, how would she keep up with the pace while maintaining style? Here are 3 dress outfits a female teacher can wear to work that are both edgy and smart but cozy.
Rich Monochromatic Look
This monochromatic outfit is rich yet understated. There ´s an element of elegance and fashion. The dress is belted and pleated, hit just a little above the knee which embodies youthfulness. A small silk scarf in nude and brown prints is great to accent this dress, wear it in french tie. An animal print handbag that is oversized is both sophisticated and functional. You can stash all those paper works you brought home and yet the print screams fashion.
Smart Vibrant Look
Teachers are somehow labeled as fashionably dull, here´s an outfit to disprove this impression. A vibrant purple dress polished by a tailored suit is something that is powerful and stylish. Black or white blazer are both great to complement this dress. In this outfit, I opted for a black jacket and match it with a pair of gorgeous black pointed heels. And of course, a great bag.
Accented Black and White Look
Black and white are always powerful and smart. Here, I opted for a black dress to be thrown over with a white blazer. Since black and white combo is a little heavy, I added fun pieces to the look that are also fashion – python heels and crocodile-skin bag in red. Remember, you don´t have to be scared to wear animal print to work, if they come in accessories, you´re always safe. I intentionally chose a red bag to inject bright color to this look.
