Dakota Fanning Wearing isabel Marant Wedge Sneakers

When I first saw the wedge sneakers trend from Isabel Marant´s runway show, my longtime love affair with sneakers was again ignited. Shortly thereafter the trend was embraced in the fashion world by storm and was actually one of the top 5 shoe trends for spring. But in spite of its Street-Superstar title, wedge sneakers present sartorial plights to those new to this trend. But worry not, follow our tips on how to make the most of your wedge sneakers.

Fitted Pants. This super trendy shoe looks great with a pair of skin-fitting leather tights or skinny jeans, with cuffs tucked inside the shoe.

Layered on top. In order to balance the sturdiness of sneaker wedges, do layering on your top. The fitted pants will serve as a good transition.

Long hems. Be it a mint green maxi skirt or a hi-low dress, long hems will smoothly tone down the trendiness and volume of your shoes.

Mini dress. For warm days when fitting tights and pants are just too warm, bare those legs and opt for a cute mini dress. You´ll look as good as Kate Bosworth.

The shorts.Another way to go short on the hems is by wearing short shorts with wedge sneakers. More skin balances more the shoe.

How to Wear Wedge Sneakers with Printed Pants
Fitted Printed Pants. Celebrities haven´t tried this yet but wedge sneakers do look great with printed fitted tights or pants. The key here is matching the color of your sneakers to at least one color from your print. Avoid clashing prints though, it would be too much. So make sure to opt for one solid color for your top.

How to Wear Wedge Sneakers with Bright Colors
One standout bright. Black wedge sneakers will look perfect with a bright standout separate. Take a hot pink top or a red colored jeans (skinny) to team with a plain black or patterned separate.

How to Wear Wedge Sneakers with Denim
Denim. Summer isn´t complete without your favorite denim – shorts or jackets. Go ahead, dress up your street trendy wedge sneakers.

Just go to the store and try them on!!!! I am so happy with the quality of the Diversity wedge because they were so cheap!!!! ;p
