I can´t believe how much I missed covering runway looks and demystifying them into a real woman´s every day outfit. It´s been a while, girls, a really long while. And yet I´m still a pretty busy full-time momma that I only can steal time blogging at night when my baby´s finally asleep. My time is limited and for the most part I´m spent, overly exhausted that all I ever wanted to do is sleep myself. Thus I have to skip the “get this look” mimic combos and just go straight to the runway looks I love and the reasons why I love them.
When I do this kind of blog posts, it´s like I step into a different world. This is the part that I really love about blogging at Creative Fashion. I close my eyes and think, if I have all the money to buy these runway looks, which ones would I actually wear?
Below are the top four of my personal favorites from Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2017 Couture. A quick scan of the collections made me figure that Gaultier´s Spring17 Couture is basically about dramatic drape silhouette with splashes of florals and paysanne flourishes.
This sunflower maxi dress is something a Victorian queen would wear to a weekend date for her friends. The corset is what makes this dress kind of fierce.
That glamor you get from the drape and swing of a silky full-bloomed dress featuring oversized + cold-shoulder mix.
Blue is always a stunning color but it can easily appear dark if used as a shade of floral. Yet this shrug + maxi dress combo is no dark at all. It oozes soft vibrancy and promises an easy transition to summer. Just take off the shrug for warmer days.
If I wear to standout in a sea of dresses and be the ultimate attention-grabber throughout the night, I´d go for this jacket and trousers set in stunning fine florals.
After I picked my top four I realized that they all feature floral prints. There are other patterns in the collection. What do you think of these looks?
