About the Editor
What initially started as a hobby turned out to be something I would love to do full-time – fashion blogging.
Needed something to deviate my head from heavy writing tasks which included short stories, poetry, world connected essays and a novel, a full-time teaching job (high-school mathematics) in an international school plus professionally training a debate club, I saw fashion blogging as a leeway to a fun, girly and fabulous writing escapade. To my surprise, I got hooked.
Creative Fashion had a humble start, a free Creative Fashion blogspot blog which served as my training ground. My first articles for the blog were published in April 2009. It´s where I learned html, expanded my fashion dictionary, met some really fabulous virtual friends, learned the basics of blogging and got inspired and discouraged for how many times before finally deciding to do it full-time. Its income financed the launched of this site and my other blog Offbeat Marriage.
For more than 2 years in the blogosphere, I learned almost all the ins and outs of online publishing and entrepreneurship. Experimenting on which way and style of fashion writing works best for me, I quickly figured that “My Outfit” blog isn’t my thing, editorial blogging and a mix of general commentary is.
I’ve worked with a lot of PR people who pitched their products/brands and offered partnership opportunities for my blog. I’ve partnered with many of them but politely declined to a handful, simply because I’m dedicated to focusing on my niche – women fashion with emphasis on creativity.
With a growing number of following, a bigger traffic and a healthy increased in revenue; I decided it’s about time to take the blog to the next level. Then was the birth of the new Creative Fashion blog for gleeful fashionistas.
I hope you enjoy this blog. I invite you to join this community for creative and full of glee, stylish women.

I´m Helen from Houston, TX. I´m a mom of 2 girls, ages 4 and 2. I have been blogging at Dieting Fashions for almost 3 years now, but only about 6 months of fashion blogging. My fashion style tends to be casual career oriented. A lot of my daily outfits have to be comfortable, office appropriate, and versatile.
I love fashion and how an outfit can make me feel. I struggled with my weight after I had my 2nd child.
The feeling when I didn’t fit my clothes left me frustrated. I had all these beautiful clothes that I wanted to wear but it all just didn’t fit me. I started blogging about my dieting and exercising routine as a way to motivate myself.
When I started to feel more confident, I began to blog about my fashion desires. I believe being a fashionista changed my aura from being stressed and frustrated to becoming a more confident and stylish person.
Hi, I´m Janine and I blog at J9 Style. In today´s economic state, some women may find it hard to be stylish. Not only are we broke, but who has the time to create an outfit or redecorate a room? My philosophy on style is:
1. Every woman should know her own sense of style
2. It should be free
3. It is a way to express yourself
4. It is a way to live your life
5. It´s fun!
I don´t know about you, but my life is filled with deadlines, stressful work days, financial insecurities and the overall hustle and bustle of life.
What gets me through the day are the little touches of style I add to it. Whether it´s the perfect scarf I wore to sass up a typically humdrum outfit or the new workout playlist I created, these seemingly trivial accomplishments make me smile and change my perspective on the day.
